Announcement
After prayerful consideration, the Lake Shore Children’s Center Board voted, and the church's Administrative Council concurred, that the Center would close on June 30, 2023, for work on the physical facility and consultation on future programming.
A time to reopen has yet to be determined, but both the Lake Shore Children’s Center Board and the Administrative Council are working in cooperation on the best path forward.
Sincerely, Rev Nick Mumejian
Our Lake Shore Baptist Children’s Center has served the community for 55 years, providing safe and loving care, age-appropriate development activities, and physical play to children enrolled in the program. We are grateful to you for entrusting us with your children.
In order to do a full physical update of our facilities, the LSBCC will have to close for several months. Our final day open was June 30, 2023. We recognize that this creates challenges for some families, and we hope that this quieter summer season will allow time to find other opportunities for needed child care.
As you know, COVID generated economic pressures that affected LSBCC, just as they did the community and the world. Our post-COVID financial standing has also contributed to our decision for a complete revamping of our facilities and our program.
Lake Shore will focus on discerning the needs of our community, the physical plant and the programming that we want to offer, and how to balance enrollment and financial requirements. We encourage you to remain in our circle and we pray that your children continue to grow in love, creativity, and strength.
With our best regards,
The LSBCC Board
